1999 (Columbine High School massacre) - 2018 (Santa Fe High School in Texas)
  • 36 states and the District of Columbia have experienced a shooting
214,000-plus students experienced gun violence at 216 schools
141 children, educators and other people (est.) were killed
    284 more were injured.
38 percent of students experiencing school shootings were African American, although African American students comprise 16.6 percent of schooling population.
68 (est.) of the schools experiencing shootings—e.g., the 1999 Columbine High School massacre in Colorado, the 2018 Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, the 2018 Marshall County High School shooting in Kentucky, the 2001 Santana High School shooting in California—“employed a police officer, resource officers, or security guard.”
However, U.S. law mandates “that no Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funds ‘may be used to advocate or promote gun control’ thus prohibiting “almost all study of gun violence.” The “United States federal government does not track school shootings.”

ssassination attempts (current, former presidents) October

October 2018: A package, intercepted by the U.S. Secret Service, addressed to Washington, D. C. home of former U.S. President Barack Obama contains “pipe bomb”
October 2018: A letter, intercepted by the U.S. Secret Service, sent by a former U.S. Navy veteran to U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House contains (Ricinus communis) castor beans (whose seeds or oil contains the “highly potent toxin, ricin”: “estimated lethal oral dose in humans: approximately 1 milligram per kilogram”).

The United States leads the world in mass shootings against itself. Whatever else that means, it definitely means that we in the United States of America have severe problems—people problems and people relations problem.

And instead of dealing with America’s problems, the leaders we send to office and return to office spend their time fighting for power among themselves, and for themselves. In their policies, their pandering to select interests,  their selfishness and entrenched corruption; in their criminal neglect, they are sending America to the trash bin—all the while blaming someone else for their failure to care for, failure to serve and protect the people and land of the United States of America.
