She Deserves Pity More Than Scorn

Though a native of Milledgeville (Baldwin County), Greene reportedly lived for an extended period in Alpharetta (6th congressional district, Fulton County), Georgia. She holds a baccalaureate degree in business and is heir (sale) to a construction business previously owned by her father.
Greene reportedly announced that she would move to the 14th congressional district (created after the 2010 Census, when Georgia gained a 14th seat in the U.S. House of Representatives) if she decided to run from that district. She later “bought a home in nearby Paulding County” (14th congressional district). By the time she took the oath of office in the U.S. Congress, “she had moved to Rome, Georgia (also in Georgia’s 14th congressional district).
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives are required to live in the “state” they represent. Hopping districts, like gerrymandering, is legal.
