“Moral Virtues” achieve “gender justice”; Emphasis on “unity, solidarity…, common values” achieve “peaceful coexistence”

IRI’s First Lady leads Premier International Congress for Women of Influence

Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda

Wife of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi is a writer, scholar, lecturer. She is a graduate of Tarbiat Modares University, one of the top universities, an exclusively graduate university established to train university professors; its entry requires a national level examination; and the majority of programs limit their acceptances to “top performers” on the exam.

Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda holds a PhD in philosophy of education; and is a member of the faculty (professor) of the Department of Leadership and Educational Development, School of Educational Sciences and Psychology of Shahid Beheshti University where she teaches graduate level courses in philosophy of higher education, anthropology in Islam, teaching methods, theoretical foundations of educational management, philosophical schools, and educational views.

She is founder and director of the Institute of Fundamental Studies of Science and Technology of Shahid Beheshti University; and director of the Humanities Research Institute, which is tasked with “presenting science and technology policy models based on understanding and evaluating the epistemological and social aspects of science and technology.” In 2020, she became “Secretary of the ‘Council for the Transformation and Renovation of the Educational System of the Country,’” an appointive position by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution.

Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda and President Ebrahim Raisi are the parents of two daughters, both professionals in the physical and social sciences.

First International Congress for Women of Influence

Dr. Jamileh Alamolhoda speaks of Common Values amid Differences
“We should not abandon common values… because of differences; on the contrary, we should emphasize them.”

All of us cannot behave the same but we can emphasize our common values. Use common methods without crossing values. “If we do not support values [principles, standards, morals, ethics], we will have a corrupt world.” “We must have a better world.”

“We cannot achieve our goals… if there is no support from men.” “Women should be active; not be mere spectators.” But acting and “fighting” are “not the same.” Mixing or confusing these is damaging.

“With moral virtues, we can achieve gender justice.” “Our emphasis is on unity and solidarity.” “We can use common values as grounds for peaceful coexistence and integration.”
(Some slight editing in phrasing, not the speaker’s thoughts.)
