“US Navy deploys more chaplains for suicide prevention” by Giovanna Dell’Orto: “One recently embraced prevention strategy is to deploy chaplains—(preachers instead of talk therapy psychologists, psychoanalysts, psychotherapists)—as regular members of the crew on more ships. The goal is for the clergy to connect with sailors, believers and non-believers alike, in complete confidentiality—something that has allowed several to talk sailors out of suicidal crises.” https://www.stripes.com/branches/navy/2023-03-31/navy-chaplains-suicide-prevention-9659368.html
