Endless Thoughts, Prayers, and Violence

20th, 21st Centuries USA Massacres
Extended and Updated November 9, 2018

A
merican exceptionalists left, right and center obsessively centered on themselves refuse to believe, consider or take seriously the obvious fact that we in the United States of America—heirs to a land of the free, home of the brave which is neither free nor brave—have a severe and compelling “people” problem. We have a problem with ourselves individually and as a group of citizens, the body politic.

W

e have human rights and human relations problems.
We have a problem of character—lacking proper humility, civility, and respect for one another and for others more generally.
We fail to see or acknowledge the validity of others, foreign and/or domestic.
We have problem with our priorities: warped priorities — war and violence over peace and nonviolence, death and plunder over health and education, work and welfare for all.

I

nternational or domestic laws, the Constitution of the United States of America, the principles set out in the American Declaration of Independence all are used and abused (as religious texts) selectively and expediently as suits the whim of inordinate power. And, as U.S. government officials steal from the masses (the public treasury) to fund their weapons paymasters and endlessly to decimate foreign lands and peoples, all against the public good — those Americans who feel disheartened, discarded, disregarded, diseased, or disgruntled take government’s example of annihilation; and take out their frustrations on themselves, and in mass elimination of others.

We have serious problems in America that need the serious attention of serious people.
