Three Cs, like three Rs in schooling, Crucial to Good Governance

Vacuousness Destroys Possibility

Like the tried-and-true (sorely lacking today) four R (or three-R sounding) essentials (reading, writing, reasoning and arithmetic (budding responsibility) in the formative years (child and adolescent learning and development years) — four Cs (not churlishness, contemptuousness, color or creed) are essential in adult positions of leadership and public service, particularly positions affording inordinate power and influence.
The four fundamental Cs (sorely lacking today) are Character, Courage, Competence, and Civility.

I

’ve been concerned with the quality of public service leadership for a long time and these thoughts came to mind as I was reading a piece by Australian journalist and lawyer Graham Hryce appraising the caliber and consequences of Western leadership and one particular reflection of it.

Individuals aspiring to public service or finding themselves in leadership positions are too often hungry for power, hollow, and susceptible to being handled.

The seeming “madness” of Britain’s Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Truss who holds a position gifted to her by “Thatcher-worshipping members of the Tory Party” is, according to journalist Graham Hryce, “a product of a crude neo-liberal economic ideology”; and true to the code, she “persists in robotically touting the benefits of ‘trickle-down economics’;” and “(unsuccessfully) trying to blame (Britain’s and more generally the West’s) economic crisis entirely on Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and the conflict in Ukraine.”

Like the US factions, the Truss regime has attempted “to remedy deep-seated problems … in the economy—including decades of wage stagnation, ongoing working class and middle-class impoverishment, the ever-widening gap between rich and poor, dramatically rising energy and food prices, and the crisis in housing affordability”—by squaring a round hole or vice versa: doubling down with certifiably unworkable “neo-liberal economic policies.”

Systemically Weakened Economic systems Death knell of Western democracies

“Global elites” ruling Western “democracies,” Hryce observes, adhere obstinately to “greed-based, crude neo-liberal economic theories” and pledge their allegiance “to overturning the social democratic consensus” that prevailed, for example, before the UK’s (senile former plastics company worker boasting contempt for government service) Baroness Margaret Hilda Thatcher, and before the US’s (senile B-movie actor boasting contempt for government service) Hon. Knight Grand Cross Ronald Wilson Reagan. Thirty-two years later, another senile entrenched gerontocratic bencher followed Sir Reagan.

Britain’s current head of state as the United States’ current head of state preside over layered economic and political crises.

Some of Hryce’s insights (with added commentary) are these.

Any political system that seats a demonstrably incompetent person “is irretrievably broken.”

Any political system that encourages a long train of nepotistic, incestuously ideological incompetents perpetuates political instability.

 A system that allows insider, gerrymandered selection (or pre-public balloting) of leaders degrades the quality of candidates and policies, weakens “democratic” processes, destabilizes institutions of governance, and deliberately forfeits the essential trust of the body politic (general public). 


W

eakness of character, competence, courage, communication invites malleability. An incompetent in public office (public service or any position), a person mindlessly harnessed to hardened ideology, open to the puppeteer, opens to any manipulation by any element of influence.

Such weakness weakens a nation, and is a threat to the larger world.

uppression: a Neo-McCarthyism

The Party in its weakness, cowardice, and peculiar practice of public-private partnering—working “hand-in-glove with corporate for-profit media and Big Tech to smear and silence political opponents and those who dare to challenge their authority—demonstrates its contempt for Americans and for protected freedoms (particularly of speech) enshrined in the Constitution of the United States of America.

The Party “ideology … of hate and divisiveness” exposes their disavowal of principles associated with a “traditional liberalism”— principles such as “the basic goodness of people, the autonomy of the individual; support of civil liberties, and government of, by, and for the people.”

 

At her website posting, Tulsi Gabbard says

“I’ve dedicated my entire adult life to serving our country. What I care about is the truth and what’s right. I don’t fit into any box, and you’ll find me hard to label. I have a simple message: let’s do what’s best for the American people, our country, and the planet.” (Emphasis added)

“I love our country. Our God-given rights of freedom, life, and liberty enshrined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights are my inspiration. I answered the call to duty and took an oath, dedicating my life to supporting and defending those freedoms, both in uniform and in public office.”

Biographical sources show Tulsi Gabbard’s nineteen years of US Military Service (continuing) which have included deployments to Africa and Western Asia; the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, awards to include “Combat Medical Badge,” and “Meritorious Service Medal.”

HINK!

Think of destructionist and tyranny in contexts other than ancient and not so ancient Colonialism. 

Think of tyranny personified in a two-headed political party and worse a singular domineering party. And ask what ought I to do?

What is my citizenry duty? In contemporary times with so many technological gadgets and platforms, and communications enablers—How do I call our nation to Unity? Break the bonds of tyranny? Demand law, discipline, and order among the higher echelon as well as among the masses?

Blame and complain will change nothing.

How do we establish and insist on participation of multiple political parties, dissent, debate, and independent thought and action (together with respectfulness and proper civility), and no-money (no-greased palms)-required access to public forums, discussion and debate, and candidacy and place on the ballot?

How do we dissolve or disband the incestuous cabal, the tactics, and the instruments of tyranny? How do we work to reestablish and improve Conscience and the Union of the United States of America?

Nobel Con sits atop the Stack of Speakers in Opposites

Humanitarianism means robbing, bombing, massacring, maiming, starving, and displacing people. Peace means unending global aggression and lauding the same. Nobel Peace means Nobel War Prize

One writer, putting it mildly, says the Nobel Prize for Peace “has of late been losing its shine.” A little stronger, though indirectly, the writer continues:“When globally recognized awards are seen to be handed out on political considerations, they raise a good number of legitimate questions.” 

And “the respect associated with such awards takes a slide downward to a point where” (like beauty contests and other nonsensical exercises) “they are no longer taken seriously.”

“Cuba has trained a surplus of physicians in its 13 medical schools; and, annually, sends 50,000 health professionals (among them “25,000 physicians”) to other countries “to provide care in developing countries.”

  • Belarus is one of nine core members of the Commonwealth of Independent States, a regional intergovernmental organization in Eastern Europe and Asia. The core members are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan
  • The recipient of the “peace” award is a Russian born of Belarusian parents who, in recent times, became a felon jailed in 2021 for tax evasion, and is still serving a seven-year prison sentence. In their anti-Slav politics, the prize awarders lauded (or used) Ales Viktaravich Bialiatski as their tireless champion of the West’s favorite delusional and contradictory, misused and abused mantras “democracy” and “human rights.”

  • Kyiv (US-conveniently allied) Ukraine-founded (2007) Center for Civil Liberties (enough said)
  • An Anti-Russian (Memorial) group lauded for being “against” Russian “militarism” (while applauding US militarism); lauded for promoting the International Criminal Court while applauding U.S. officials’ repeated, unbridled attacks on the ICC (of which the US is not a member), including issuing threats against the lead prosecutor of the Court. It is an open secret that organizations masquerading as nongovernmental organizations are often destabilizing cells that burrow into countries (like the Soros cell in the United States and Central Europe, and CIA pawns everywhere) to indoctrinate and radicalize the young, undermine seated officials, overthrow governments, and generally violate the sovereignty of sovereign nations.

  • The Nobel awarded Memorial organization is a group long situated in Moscow and supported by the Collective West. It was charged by the Russian justice system with violating the Russian “foreign agent law,” a charge often made by US officials against “foreigners.”
  • At court, the Prosecution accused the group of “creating an image of the Soviet Union as a ‘terrorist’ state” and making contemporary Russians “repent for the Soviet past….” The Supreme Court of Russia on December 28, 2021 “ordered the International Memorial Society and its regional branches to close (for having) violated the 2012 foreign agent law.”

ainfully Ignored by Nobel is WikiLeaks founder and journalist Julian Assange who committed no crime, no injustice, not abuse of human rights; but who languishes (by US command) in her or his majesty’s hardened criminals container at Belmarsh.

Silent is the almighty Nobel Committee and friends about scores of individuals tormented in countless and unspeakable ways by US and US-allied officials and governments. 

Perhaps the Nobel Peace fraudsters prefer 

handing out tosh to tormenters.

We have learned a hard lesson: that for Russia it is mortally dangerous to relax its SOVEREIGNTY or renounce its interests, even for a limited period of time.

P

eople (and their leaders) of character, integrity and true love of country will reflect on the past, learn from it and learn from other people and leaders’ cultures, character, leadership and experiences.

 People (and their leaders) of character and integrity (true patriots in fellowship with one another) will correct their course, mend their ways and mend relations near and far (at home and abroad), improve their performance and stewardship. Repair the brokenness of a young nation and its people.
